For those wanting to immerse themselves in the foundations of Pottery.

During this seven-week ceramics course you're going to ground yourself with a foundation of wheel throwing & handbuilding techniques. 

+ Structure

In the first two weeks we’ll cover centring and clay manipulation in order to throw a few successful pieces. 

In week three we cover trimming; removing ribbons of clay to finish off our pieces. 

Over weeks four, five and 6 we will cover 3 different handbuilding techniques including pinch pots, coiling and slab. 

By week seven we come together for a glazing session to turn our masterpieces into fully functional ceramics.  

+ Lesson length

Classes are 2 hrs long, and sessions run for seven consecutive weeks. Same day, same time.

For those ready to immerse themselves in the foundations of handbuilding.

 

+ No experience required

This course is ideal for both inexperienced potters (no experience necessary!) through to those who've had a few lessons, but need a refresher to improve their technique.

+ How do I book

Please note: only the FIRST date of the session is listed on our booking calendar below.  You only need to book in for  the first date of the session and you will be automatically signed up for all 6 consecutive weeks. 

+ Payment plans

We understand that it is sometimes hard to have the upfront money for courses so we do offer payment plans for our courses. Just email us at hello@claywollongong.com and we can set you up. 

We offer student discounts to those who hold a current, valid Australian student ID card. Courses are reduced to $300 for the 6 weeks. Use code STUDENTCLAY20 at the checkout.

 Please note; you MUST present your valid student ID on the first lesson of your course otherwise you will have to pay the difference of the course.
