For those ready to immerse themselves in the foundations of handbuilding.

+ Structure

We cover the foundational building techniques necessary for anyone interested in starting their hand building journey.  Week 1-3 will cover building techniques, followed by week 4 and 5 of a core project. This project will be a personal project; let us know what you want to make, and we'll be here to guide you through the necessary steps, from concept to creation.  Week 6 will cover glazing and underglazing.. .the final step to turn your masterpieces into fully functional ceramics.

+ Lesson length

Classes are 2 hrs long, and sessions run for six consecutive weeks. Same day, same time.

Can't make all 6 classes consecutively? We can offer make up classes with our Flexi Class option, so there is no stress if something comes up!

+ No experience required

This course is ideal for both inexperienced potters (no experience necessary!) through to those who've had a few lessons, but need a refresher to improve their technique.

+ How do I book

Please note: only the FIRST date of the session is listed on our booking calendar below.  You only need to book in for  the first date of the session and you will be automatically signed up for all 6 consecutive weeks. 

+ Payment plans

We understand that it is sometimes hard to have the upfront money for courses so we do offer payment plans for our courses. Just email us at hello@claywollongong.com and we can set you up. 

We offer student discounts to those who hold a current, valid Australian student ID card. Courses are reduced to $300 for the 6 weeks. Use code STUDENTCLAY20 at the checkout.

 Please note; you MUST present your valid student ID on the first lesson of your course otherwise you will have to pay the difference of the course.

If booking with multiple Gift Vouchers, only one voucher can be used per booking.
